5th Annual Walk for Life West Coast

The Fifth Annual Walk for Life West Coast will take place on January 24th. I plan to be there again this year, amateur radio and camera in hand, and this time I will be taking my adopted child with me. What better statement than to bring my child who might not be alive today if it hadn’t been for his birth mother’s “Yes!”

The day kicks off with an 8:00 am Mass at St. Mary’s Cathedral, located at 1111 Gough Street, San Francisco. All priests are welcome to concelebrate. The following California bishops will be in attendance:

  • Bishop William Justice, Auxiliary Bishop of San Francisco
  • Bishop Stephen Blaire, Bishop of Stockton
  • Bishop Jaime Soto, Bishop of Sacramento
  • Bishop Rutilio del Riego, Auxiliary Bishop of San Bernardino
  • Bishop Salvatore Cordileone, Auxiliary Bishop of San Diego

The walk itself begins at 11:00 am at Justin Herman Plaza in San Francisco and ends at the Marina Green. Speakers include:

After the Walk, a Silent No More gathering will take place where it concludes, at the Marina Green. Also after the Walk, there will be a Walk for Life After Party sponsored by the St. Dominic’s young adults! St. Dominic’s is located 2390 Bush Street, on the corner of Pine & Steiner in San Francisco.
